Itinerary

Day 1: Anchorage

Anchorage, Alaska’s largest town, welcomes you with towering mountains and abundant wildlife. Spend the night at a hotel, allowing time to explore the scenic surroundings.

Day 2: Anchorage / Seward – Embarkation

Transferred to Seward, admire the natural beauty of the region, surrounded by glaciers and snow-capped mountains. Embark MS Roald Amundsen from the picturesque harbor.

Day 3: College Fjord / Prince William Sound

Explore the untouched wilderness of College Fjord, home to glaciers named after prestigious East Coast colleges. Witness the meeting of ice and forest in this pristine environment.

Day 4: Gulf of Alaska / Hubbard Glacier

Continue along the coast to Hubbard Glacier, the largest tidewater glacier in North America. Marvel at its grandeur in Disenchantment Bay.

Day 5: Icy Strait Point

Visit the land of the Tlingit people, observing intricately decorated houses, totem poles, and vibrant cafes. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of the region.

Day 6: Haines

Discover Haines, framed by glaciers and mountains, and learn about its rich heritage from the Chilkat Tlingit people. Explore hidden surprises and artistic treasures in this scenic town.

Day 7: Tracy Arm / Endicott Arm

Experience the breathtaking Tracy and Endicott Arm Fjords, teeming with lush greenery and stunning icebergs. Witness glacier calving if you’re fortunate.

Day 8: Sitka

Explore Sitka, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and abundant wildlife. Visit the Russian Cathedral and witness the area’s historical and cultural landmarks.

Day 9: Petersburg

Visit the picturesque city of Petersburg, also known as “Little Norway,” nestled in stunning scenery. Immerse yourself in Scandinavian heritage and explore the historic Sons of Norway Hall.

Day 10: Wrangell

Discover Wrangell, one of Alaska’s oldest island towns, rich in history and culture. Admire petroglyphs and totem poles while spotting seals in the harbor.

Day 11: Misty Fjords National Monument

Journey to Misty Fjords National Monument, a wilderness area with lush rainforests, granite cliffs, and waterfalls. Experience the magic of this pristine landscape.

Day 12: Ketchikan, Alaska

Arrive in Ketchikan, the “salmon capital of the world,” known for its totem poles and Tlingit culture. Explore colorful houses and scenic mountains surrounding the city.

Day 13: At sea

Enjoy the ship’s amenities and attend lectures by the expedition team. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as dolphins, orcas, and whales.

Day 14: Vancouver – Disembarkation

Disembark in Vancouver, a vibrant city offering waterfront parks, international cuisine, and cultural attractions. Take time to explore before departing for the UK or extending your stay.
