Chic and modern, Almyra is one of the best hotels on the island thats perfect for both families and couples. For those with children, theres a great pool area with plenty of loungers and shade as well as a fun and educational kids club which is open during the summer. The brand-new infinity pool and the four terraces that surround it are sure to become some of the most sought-after spots in the hotel throughout the year. There’s a pool house for shade or an open fireplace for when the temperatures drop in the autumn and winter months. While the children enjoy making new friends at the kids’ club you can head to the spa or the adults-only indoor and outdoor pools which are located on the quieter side of the hotel. You can also use the facilities at Annabelle, the adjacent sister hotel, and youre really close to Paphos harbour with its many restaurants, bars and shops.

A range of contemporary restaurants offer a variety of local and international cuisine, from Greek delicacies to freshly-caught fish, sushi and Japanese cuisine with a Mediterranean twist and Asian-fusion seafood. There are plenty of options for kids too. If youre a fan of discovering new things try the Omakase menus or Zen Meze tasting menus to tantalise your palate.

Rooms are simple and understated, each offering either land or sea views. Inland View Rooms offer great value, however its worth upgrading to one of the Veranda Sea View Rooms for a balcony. If you want to be in a quieter, adults-only section, then the Premium Sea View (Aethon) Rooms are for you. There are also Kyma Suites which have a wonderful private roof terrace with sea views.

For Children

Whats nearby? There are lots of bars and restaurants to explore the locals are very welcoming to families. Theres a nice promenade walk to Paphos Castle suitable for buggies; and the Paphos Archaeological Park has some incredible mosaics.

Tried and tested The outdoor pools arent heated, so go in the warmer months when you can splash little ones into the water. The crche and kids club comes with a charge and should be pre-booked.

The sleeping arrangements All room types can take a cot, most are interconnecting and theres also a two-bedroom suite available. Opt for a room with a sea view for a quieter position within the hotel. We think the Seafront Kyma Suites are a great choice for toddlers, as they have a terrace with daybeds and a stretch of lawn in front of them perfect for stretching little legs and relaxing with a glass of wine once your young one is asleep.
