Itinerary

Day 1: UK – Atlanta
Depart on your scheduled flight to Georgia’s capital, Atlanta.

Day 2: Atlanta
Upon arrival in Atlanta, take part in an included tour of the city, including a visit to the Martin Luther King Center. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and get to know your fellow travelers.

Days 3 & 4: Atlanta – Nashville
Nashville, the capital of Tennessee and country music’s epicenter, is our destination for the next two nights. On day 3, we’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, with an optional evening out to experience live music and dinner.

On day 4, visit the famous Studio B, which helped revive the Nashville Sound in the 1960s. Then, head to the Country Music Hall of Fame to see a collection of country music memorabilia. In the evening, there’s an optional concert at the Grand Ole Opry, one of the world’s most renowned country music venues.

Day 5: Nashville – Muscle Shoals
Today is all about music! We’ll start by visiting the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, where exhibits feature gold records and costumes worn by legends like Hank Williams and the Commodores. Then, visit FAME Studios, where musical icons like Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding recorded, as well as the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio.

Day 6: Tupelo – Memphis
En route to Memphis, we’ll stop in Tupelo, Elvis Presley’s birthplace. Visit his childhood home and a museum housing one of the finest Elvis collections. Afterward, continue to Memphis, located along the Mississippi River.

Days 7 & 8: Memphis
Day 7 begins with a visit to Sun Studios, where Elvis made his first recordings. Later, we’ll head to Graceland, the mansion where Elvis lived until his untimely death in 1977.

Day 9: Memphis – Natchez
Leave Memphis behind and head to Natchez, a historic city famous for its antebellum mansions. We’ll tour Stanton Hall, built in 1859, and learn about the life of Frederick Stanton, a wealthy cotton merchant.

Day 10: Natchez – New Orleans
Today, travel to the iconic city of New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz. After settling in, take a walking tour of the historic French Quarter, where music fills the air. In the evening, you can head to Bourbon Street for a meal and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

For a unique experience, consider an optional excursion to board a traditional paddle steamer for a cruise along the Mississippi River.

Day 11: New Orleans
This morning, enjoy brunch in the French Quarter with live jazz musicians. Afterward, embark on a sightseeing tour to explore even more of New Orleans.

You’ll have free time in the afternoon, with the option to join an excursion to Louisiana’s swamps or visit a plantation.

Day 12: New Orleans – Mobile
Our next stop is Mobile, Alabama. This city, founded in 1702, is home to beautiful mansions and gardens. Enjoy a guided tour to learn about the area’s rich history.

In the evening, enjoy a meal at one of Mobile’s renowned seafood restaurants.

Day 13: Mobile – Montgomery
En route to Montgomery, we’ll stop in Monroeville, the hometown of Harper Lee, author of To Kill a Mockingbird. See the courthouse that features in the film adaptation.

Continue to Montgomery, where Rosa Parks famously sparked the Civil Rights Movement in 1955 by refusing to give up her bus seat.

Days 14 & 15: Montgomery – UK
On day 14, travel to Atlanta for your overnight flight back to the UK, arriving on day 15.
