Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Maun, via Johannesburg

Fly overnight from London to Maun, via
Johannesburg. (N)

Day 2: Fly to Makgadikgadi National Park

Early afternoon arrival in Maun, followed by
an onward scenic flight to the Makgadikgadi
National Park for a 2-night stay at Leroo La Tau
Lodge. (L, D)

Day 3: Makgadikgadi National Park

A full day of included safari activities. These
may include game drives and boat trips (when
water conditions allow) to spot lions, leopards,
cheetahs, hyenas, zebras and wildebeest along
the course of the Boteti river. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Fly to the Okavango Delta

Take a light aircraft flight to the Okavango
Delta, where you will stay 2 nights at Camp
Okavango, located on the remote Nxaragha
Island, which offers superb year-round waterbased
safari experiences. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Okavango Delta

The magnificent Okavango Delta, one of
Unescos newest world heritage sites, is the
Earths largest inland delta and its labyrinth
of lagoons, lakes and channels is home to a
huge collection of varied wildlife. Travel by
motorboat or mokoro (canoe) to track animals
such as elephants, rhinos, giraffes, hippos and
lions. Birdwatching, bush walks and fishing are
also possible during your stay. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Fly to Chobe National Park Savute

Enjoy another scenic flight, this time to Chobe
National Park, for a 2-night stay at the Savute
Safari Lodge, which arguably offers Botswanas
best game viewing experiences. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Chobe National Park Savute

A day of land-based safari activities. The Savute region sees the second largest zebra migration
in Africa: Between November and December,
and again between February and April, huge
numbers of the striped equids along with
their eager predators can be found here.
Wildlife sightings are strong year round
however. It is also possible to visit the Gubatsa
Hills, home to a number of ancient San rock
paintings. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Fly to Kasane Chobe Game Lodge

Fly north to Kasane and transfer to the
Chobe Game Lodge for a 2-night stay.
Although technically still within the borders
of Chobe National Park, the lodges location
near the Chobe river means it offers a
distinctly different experience to Savute.
(B, L, D)

Day 9: Chobe Game Lodge

With a fleet of almost silent electric powered
4×4 vehicles and boats, Chobe Game Lodge
offers guests game viewing experiences
without disturbing the wildlife. This often
means closer encounters and more natural
behaviour being observed. You are free to
choose as many or as few activities today as
you wish. (B, L, D)

Days 10-11: Fly home via Johannesburg

Transfer to Kasane airport and fly to the UK, via
Johannesburg. (B) (N)
