Overview

Buca Beach Club faces the wide, sandy bay at Analipsi Beach, with the mountains that hug the bay providing a dramatic backdrop. Sitting alongside our popular Messini Beach Club, Buca Beach Club shares activity areas with Messini, but the main hotel, bar, restaurant, and pool areas are for adults and families with older teens (15+).

With only 57 rooms, a minimalist design, and a stylish restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Buca Beach Club is a small hotel with a boutique vibe. There’s a beautiful glass-sided swimming pool with day beds sitting in the water, and shaded cabanas lining the pool where our team will bring you refreshments as you lounge.

After a day of activity, the hydro spa, with a sauna, steam room, and hot and cold plunge pools is just perfect. So, why not spoil yourself with a treatment or two?

To top off a wonderful day, head to the stylish restaurant for a delicious meal cooked up by our talented chefs. There’s an extensive wine list, including a premium selection – ask our waiters for a recommendation; they’ll be more than happy to help.

WATER ACTIVITIES

If you’re a water sports enthusiast, Buca Beach Club has you covered. Enjoy a variety of thrilling water activities, including dinghy sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, and paddle boarding. These exciting options are shared with guests at Messini Beach Club.

DINGHY SAILING AND WINDSURFING

As the day progresses, the wind picks up, making it an ideal time for dinghy sailing and windsurfing. Group RYA tuition is available if needed, or you can chat with our friendly instructors to get you on the water.

Dinghy sailing equipment: Topper Topaz 16, RS Cat 16, Laser Dart 16, Laser Bahia, Topper Argo, Laser Pico, RS Zest, Laser 1

Windsurfing equipment: Various beginner, intermediate, and shortboards from manufacturers Starboard, Fanatic, and RRD. Start rigs for beginners (2.5m / 3.5m / 4.5m); adult rigs (4m – 8.2m).

WATER SKIING AND WAKEBOARDING

For those who prefer calmer waters, early mornings are perfect for water skiing and wakeboarding. We offer up to 2 free tows per person per week (3 for 10 or 11-night stays), so there’s no excuse not to give it a try.

If you’re eager for more, you can pre-book beginner and intermediate upgrade packs for £175 per person.

On the water, we have the Ski Nautique 200 and 206, along with a range of skis, boards, mono skis, and wakeskates.

KAYAKING AND PADDLE BOARDING

Late mornings provide an excellent opportunity for kayaking or paddle boarding, allowing you to explore the bay at your own pace.

Equipment: Gemini single and double sit-on-top kayaks; wave kayaks, Red Paddle Co paddle boards (10’8″) and XXL paddle board (8-person).

LAND ACTIVITIES

Choose from a range of land activities that include mountain biking, road cycling, tennis, pickleball, climbing on the climbing wall, yoga, indoor cycling, and various fitness classes – all included.

CYCLING

Buca Beach Club offers an extensive cycling program, catering to both road and mountain biking enthusiasts. The scenic routes take you through lemon and olive groves, technical climbs, and winding roads. Join guests at Messini Beach Club for guided rides or explore your own path with our new road, mountain, and electric bikes.

Road bikes: Trek Domane AL4 (2023) in a range of sizes (44, 49, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60)

Electric bikes: Trek Powerfly 4

Premium road bikes: Exclusive use of Trek bikes with carbon frames available for £95 per person per week, including custom setup and routes uploaded to your Garmin upon request.

TENNIS AND PICKLEBALL

At Buca Beach Club, you’ll find an excellent tennis facility with 7 newly resurfaced courts shared between Buca and Messini Beach Clubs. Daily group coaching is included, with plenty of free play opportunities. For those seeking more intensive coaching, the premium tennis package is available for a supplement.

Additionally, we offer Pickleball on two new courts, a combination of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.

We provide a selection of adult and child rackets from Wilson.

CLIMBING

A shared climbing wall is located at Messini Beach Club, where daily instruction is included. For an extra adventure, you can pay a little more and go rock climbing at the beautiful site of Kardamili, approximately one hour away.

FITNESS AND SWIMMING

Find your zen with yoga classes in the serene grounds of Buca Beach Club. Our instructors focus on flexibility, strength, and balance, offering various yoga styles, including Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga.

For high-energy workouts, head over to Messini Beach Club, where a range of fitness classes awaits. You can also utilize the functional fitness studio with various equipment, indoor studio, and Les Mills BODYPUMP classes.

Cool off in the glass-sided swimming pool, or sign up for swim coaching if you want to improve your technique.

WIND CONDITIONS

The wind typically picks up around midday, providing on-shore winds on most days and cross on-shore conditions on windier days. Wind force typically ranges from 3-4, with the most consistent conditions in June, July, and August.

REST AND RELAXATION

The wellness area and hydro spa offer a relaxing break from the sun and activities. Entry to the spa is free and includes the use of the sauna, steam room, plunge pools, showers, and loungers. Treat yourself to a massage, facial, or manicure with our therapists (some treatments available for pre-booking with savings on in-resort prices).

FOOD AND DRINK

Enjoy leisurely meals at the extensive buffet for breakfast and lunch or grab something to go if activities are calling. Continental breakfast can be delivered to your room upon request. In the evening, unwind with a pre-dinner cocktail at the pool bar and savor locally inspired dishes in the restaurant. An extensive wine list and complimentary wine tasting add to the culinary experience.

At Buca Beach Club, dining is flexible. The restaurant is open six evenings a week, and you choose the nights you want to dine in (please book at reception for dinner). The number of inclusive evening meals depends on the length of your stay:

• Stay 3 or 4 nights and get 2 evening meals.
• Stay 7 nights and get 4 evening meals.
• Stay 10 or 11 nights and get 6 evening meals.

On inclusive evenings, the restaurant offers an la carte menu on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and a buffet selection on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. On non-inclusive evenings, enjoy dining at the pool bar or explore local tavernas along the beach or in Kalamata. Non-inclusive meals are charged to your room tab.

ROOMS

The modern design of Buca Beach Club ensures most rooms face the pool, with a balcony or terrace offering stunning sea views. The majority of rooms are spacious twins or doubles, finished to a high standard. Solo travelers will find 4 single rooms available without a single supplement, and a couple of suites offer a touch of luxury.

You can even request continental breakfast in bed, and each room is equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine. Additional room amenities include air conditioning, a pre-stocked fridge (beer, wine, and soft drinks – replenished weekly), telephone, TV, safe, bathrobe and slippers, beach towels, and a hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas and most rooms.
