Overview
The classic image of Norway is a tranquil fjord flanked by impossibly steep-sided mountains, and on this fantastic tour you’ll witness just that. But you’ll experience much more as we cross the country’s wild interior. We begin in thriving Oslo, where you can learn of Viking ships, the art of Edvard Munch and the country’s folk history. We visit the wonderful wooden Heddal stave church, ride the vertiginous Flåm Railway through epic landscapes and stroll through colourful Bryggen, Bergen’s historic harbour district.

Itinerary
Day 1: UK – Oslo
Location: Oslo
Titan’s VIP travel service collects you for your flight to Oslo. Transfer to hotel for a relaxed evening.
Day 2: Oslo – At Leisure
Spend the day exploring Oslo at your own pace. Discover its modern architecture, world-class museums, the Edvard Munch collection, or traditional Norwegian life at the Folkemuseum. Climb the Opera House for city views or enjoy the arts district.
Day 3: Telemark Region Excursion
Guided tour to Heddal Stave Church, Norway’s largest and most ornate wooden church. Continue to Rjukan and the Vemork powerplant, key site of WWII resistance against Nazi atomic ambitions, as depicted in Heroes of Telemark. Return to Oslo through scenic alpine landscapes.
Day 4: Oslo – Voss via Bergen Railway
Accommodation: Historic lakefront hotel in Voss
Journey aboard the Bergen Railway, one of the world’s most scenic routes. Cross mountain plateaux with glacier views and arrive in the charming resort town of Voss.
Day 5: Flåm Railway & Fjord Cruise
From Voss, take a train to Myrdal and board the Flåm Railway – one of the steepest in the world – descending to Flåm. From here, cruise the spectacular Aurlandsfjord and narrow Nærøyfjord. Disembark at Gudvangen and return to Voss by coach.
Day 6: Voss – Bergen via Hardangerfjord
Scenic coach journey to Bergen via Steinsdalsfossen waterfall and along the shores of Hardangerfjord. Arrive in Bergen for a two-night stay.
Day 7: Explore Bergen
Guided tour of Bergen, including the iconic Bryggen Wharf and St. Olav’s Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure – visit composer Edvard Grieg’s Troldhaugen residence, or take the Mount Fløyen funicular for breathtaking city views.
Day 8: Bergen – UK
Transfer to Bergen Airport for your flight home. Titan vehicle awaits on arrival for your journey home.
