Itinerary
Day 1: UK to Santiago
Fly from the UK to Santiago, Chile, via Sao Paulo.
Day 2: Santiago
Arrive in Santiago, Chile’s capital, nestled beneath the Andes mountains. Explore the wide boulevards, parks, and visit the Presidential Palace, residential districts of Las Condes and Providencia. End the day with a visit to San Cristobal Hill for panoramic views of the city and snow-capped Andes.
Day 3: Santiago
Optional: Wine tasting at the Indomita vineyard. Visit Viña del Mar, known as the “Garden City,” and admire the Flower Clock, palm-fringed avenues, and the Fine Arts Museum. Continue to Valparaíso, known for its colorful homes, panoramic port views, and the former house of poet Pablo Neruda.
Day 4: Mendoza
Journey through the Andes with views of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas. Arrive in Mendoza, the heart of Argentina’s wine region, famous for producing white wines like Chenin Blanc and reds like Cabernet Sauvignon.
Day 5: Mendoza
Today is free for you to explore or enjoy an optional bike tour through the Maipú wine region. Visit two vineyards, learn about wine production, and sample wines such as Chardonnay, Syrah, and Malbec, paired with cheeses and sausages. Enjoy the scenic ride through the vineyards with the Andes as your backdrop.
Day 6: Buenos Aires
Fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, known as the “Paris of the Americas.” Explore Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosada, La Boca District, and the famous Recoleta Cemetery, where Eva Perón is buried.
Optional: The Argentine Experience – Learn about Argentina’s cuisine and culture, prepare empanadas, and try your hand at making ‘mate,’ a traditional drink.
Days 7 & 8: Buenos Aires
Day 7: Optional excursion to the Tigre and Paraná Delta, a maze of waterways lined with villas, docks, and gardens, or enjoy an optional tango show and dinner.
Day 8: Optional visit to an Argentine ranch (estancia) in the Pampas or enjoy the day exploring Buenos Aires at your own pace.
Days 9 & 10: Iguaçú Falls
Travel to Iguaçú Falls, one of the world’s largest and most spectacular natural wonders. Visit Iguaçú National Park and take a train through the jungle to the Argentinian side for an up-close view of the falls. The falls straddle the border between Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.
Day 11: Rio de Janeiro
Optional: View Iguaçú Falls from the Brazilian side before flying to Rio de Janeiro.
Day 12: Rio de Janeiro (Carnival)
Tonight, experience the Winner’s Parade of the Rio Carnival at the Sambadrome. Watch the five best samba schools perform with dazzling costumes, floats, and energetic music, surrounded by an atmosphere of celebration and joy.
Day 13: Rio de Janeiro
Visit Corcovado and see the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. Travel by cog railway to reach the statue, enjoying sweeping views along the way. Optional: Take a cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain for more stunning views of Rio. Enjoy the evening with a farewell dinner.
Days 14 & 15: Rio de Janeiro to UK
Explore Rio at your leisure on Day 14 before your return flight. Arrive back in the UK on Day 15.
