Fly to Cairo, arriving late in the evening. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for your overnight stay.

Spend today exploring the Pyramids of Giza and The Sphinx, followed by the Egyptian Museum, before testing your bargaining skills at Khan El Khalili bazaar.

View the worlds largest collection of Egyptian Christian artefacts, old churches and the ancient burial ground of Sakkara. This evenings dinner is at the famous Cairo Tower where youll taste local dishes while the restaurant rotates giving you spectacular views of Cairo at night.

Travel north to Alexandria, visiting the Roman Amphitheater, the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, and the defensive fortress of Qaitbay Citadel on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

Travel back to Cairo with a stop en route at El Alamein. Well known for the battles that took place here, you will visit the military museum and WWII cemeteries. On arrival at Cairo board your first-class sleeper train to Luxor.

Cruise The Nile River
After arriving in Luxor, transfer to the port to begin your four night Nile River Cruise. Once settled, your shore excursion takes you to Luxors East Bank, visiting the Temple of Luxor and Temple of Karnak, an impressive complex of buildings dedicated to the Egyptian pharaohs.

Explore the West Bank
Explore the stunning landscape of the West Bank where you will the Colossi of Memnon statues, the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the famous Valley of Kings, home to the tombs of ancient Egyptian rulers. Later sail to Esna.

Sailing further down The Nile River, you will reach the city of Edfu for a full days visit of the Temple of Edfu, before sailing to Kom Ombo to explore the Temple of Kom Ombo. Set sail again for Aswan.

In Aswan you will be visiting the man-made 3,600-metre High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the majestic Temple of Philae. Sail on a traditional felucca with views of Elephantine Island, Kitcheners Island, and the botanical gardens.

DAY10
Giza sound & light show
Enjoy a morning at leisure to explore take a stroll through Aswan market or have a coffee in one of the street cafs taking in the life around you. Later fly to Cairo enjoy the Sound & Light Show at Giza this evening.

This morning, you will continue your tour with a flight to Jordan. On arrival transfer to your hotel to settle in and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY12
Jerash Chariot Race
Tour the city of As-Salt, before driving to the ancient Roman city Jerash where you will witness the Roman pastime of chariot racing. Continue to Ajloun to visit the fortress of Qalat Al Rabad.

Take a city tour of Amman to explore the Citadel, Roman Amphitheatre and the Desert Castles. Return to Amman where you will participate, with the help of a local expert, in making your own wind instrument a Nai.

Today you will visit Mount Nebo, and the town of Madaba to visit the Orthodox Church of St. George before continuing to the world-renowned city of Petra.

DAY 15
Petra by night & day
A morning to explore the amazing UNESCO World Heritage site of Petra, with its many caves and tombs. Spend the afternoon relaxing before returning this evening to experience it at night, by candlelight.

DAY16
Wadi Rum Desert Camp
stop at Little Petra, a smaller canyon, before the journey to Wadi Rum. Here you will explore Lawrences road, driving over the sand dunes and through canyons. You will spend the evening surrounded by desert and starlight in a Bedouin camp.

Head north to the Dead Sea where you have the day to explore on your own. Experience one of the worlds saltiest bodies of water by floating in the Dead Sea, or do some exploring of this lovely coastal area.
