Day 1: UK → Denver, Colorado

• Depart from the UK on a direct flight to Denver.
• Transfer to overnight hotel.

Day 2: Denver → Rapid City, South Dakota

• Drive north to Rapid City, South Dakota.
• Stops en route:
  • Cheyenne, Wyoming’s cowboy capital.
  • Fort Laramie, a historic military & trading post.
  • Learn about Chief Red Cloud & the Sioux Treaty.
• Evening entertainment: Fort Hays Chuckwagon Supper & Cowboy Music Show (on the film set of Dances with Wolves).

Day 3: Mount Rushmore & Badlands National Park

• Visit Mount Rushmore, featuring Presidents Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington & Jefferson.
• Explore the Crazy Horse Memorial, the largest mountain carving in progress.
• Afternoon tour of Badlands National Park, known for its dramatic landscapes.

Day 4: Rapid City → Deadwood → Sheridan, Wyoming

• Drive through the Black Hills to Deadwood, a historic Gold Rush town.
• Explore Deadwood, a National Historic Landmark known for its Old West saloons.
• Continue to Sheridan for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Sheridan → Little Bighorn Battlefield → Cody

• Visit Little Bighorn Battlefield, site of Custer’s Last Stand.
• Guided tour of this historic battle site.
• Arrive in Cody, home of Buffalo Bill.

Day 6: Cody → Yellowstone National Park

• Travel to Yellowstone, the world’s first national park.
• Visit Yellowstone Canyon, home to a waterfall twice the height of Niagara Falls.
• See Old Faithful, the famous geyser that erupts every 93 minutes.
• Keep an eye out for bears, elk, moose, and herds of buffalo.

Day 7: Yellowstone → Grand Teton National Park → Jackson

• Explore Grand Teton National Park, known for its snow-capped peaks, lakes & glaciers.
• Continue to Jackson, a charming cowboy town.

Day 8: Jackson → Salt Lake City

• Drive through Logan Canyon, with its towering limestone walls.
• Enjoy a picnic lunch at the turquoise waters of Bear Lake.
• Arrive in Salt Lake City, founded by the Mormons.

Day 9: Salt Lake City (Free Day & Optional Excursions)

• Explore Mormon Square, home to the Salt Lake Temple.
• Optional excursion to the Great Salt Lake.

Day 10: Salt Lake City → Arches National Park → Cortez

• Visit Arches National Park, home to the world’s largest collection of red sandstone arches.
• Travel to Cortez, Colorado.

Day 11: Mesa Verde National Park

• Explore Mesa Verde, an archaeological wonder with cliff dwellings.
• Visit Cliff Palace, a site with more than 200 ancient rooms.

Day 12: Cortez → Monument Valley

• Head to Monument Valley, instantly recognizable from Old West movies.
• Optional 4×4 tour with a Navajo guide.

Day 13: Monument Valley → Grand Canyon → Kanab

• Visit the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
• Optional flight over the canyon for a breathtaking aerial view.
• Enjoy a Navajo taco from a local grill before heading to Kanab.

Day 14: Bryce Canyon National Park

• Explore the spires of rock & natural amphitheaters of Bryce Canyon.
• Optional stargazing tour under the clear desert sky.

Day 15: Zion National Park → Las Vegas

• Discover Zion National Park, known for its sheer cliffs & rock formations.
• Arrive in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world.
• Optional night tour of the Las Vegas Strip.

Day 16: Las Vegas → UK

• Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Day 17: Arrive in the UK

• Arrive back home, concluding your unforgettable national parks adventure.
