Itinerary

Day 1: UK to Cape Town
Depart on your overnight flight to Cape Town.

Day 2: Cape Town
Arrive in Cape Town and meet your fellow travelers. Enjoy a welcome dinner this evening to get to know each other better.

Day 3: Cape Peninsula
Explore the Cape Peninsula, starting at Hout Bay and traveling along Chapman’s Peak to Cape Nature Reserve and Cape Point. Continue to Boulders Beach to see penguins, then visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. If weather permits, ascend Table Mountain via the cable car for breathtaking views.

Day 4: Cape Town
A free day to explore Cape Town at your leisure. Visit the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, or choose between two optional excursions: a tour of Khayelitsha, Cape Town’s largest black township, or a visit to the Western Cape Winelands for a wine-tasting experience.

Day 5: Oudtshoorn
Travel to Oudtshoorn via the scenic Route 62. Visit an ostrich farm in the afternoon where you can learn about these fascinating creatures and possibly feed them.

Day 6: Knysna
Visit the Cango Caves, where you’ll explore underground limestone caverns. Continue on to Knysna, nestled between ancient forests and a beautiful lagoon, and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7: Knysna
Enjoy a free day in Knysna to explore boutiques, shops, or the cliffs at the lagoon mouth. Alternatively, join the optional excursion to Featherbed Nature Reserve, where you’ll take a ferry, hike through coastal forests, and enjoy a buffet lunch at an outdoor restaurant under Milkwood trees.

Day 8: Johannesburg
Drive along the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth, stopping at Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma National Park for a walk across a suspension bridge. Fly to Johannesburg in the evening.

Day 9: Johannesburg
Take a tour of Soweto, a significant site in the history of South Africa’s struggle against apartheid. After lunch, spend the afternoon at leisure exploring Johannesburg.

Day 10: Kruger National Park
Drive the Panorama Route, passing through spectacular landscapes like God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and Blyde Canyon. Arrive at Kruger National Park in the evening.

Day 11: Kruger National Park
Wake up early for a thrilling game drive in Kruger National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for the ‘Big Five’ (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo). Afterward, enjoy some leisure time by the pool or take part in an optional afternoon game drive.

Day 12: Kruger National Park
Relax at Kruger or take part in optional bush walks and game drives to see more of the wildlife and landscape.

Day 13: Kruger to UK
Travel back to Johannesburg for your return flight to the UK.

Arrive back in the UK today.
