Itinerary
Day 1: UK to Genoa
Fly into Genoa today and transfer to your hotel in Imperia on the Ligurian coast. This beautiful stretch of coastline, bordered by the French Riviera, is known for its azure waters, sandy beaches, and palm-lined promenades.
Day 2: Sanremo
Explore Sanremo, a town set on a wide, sheltered bay. Stroll through the Old Town, where winding lanes lead to scenic spots. Visit the lush gardens and parks, and admire the Russian Orthodox church near the seafront. Your Local Guide will provide insight into the town’s charm.
Day 3: Monaco & Monte Carlo
Visit the luxurious principality of Monaco, ruled by the Grimaldi family for over 700 years. Discover the glamorous Monte Carlo district, famous for its casino, gardens, opulent boutiques, and grand yachts in the harbour. Enjoy a full-day excursion exploring the lavish lifestyle Monaco offers.
Day 4: Santa Margherita & Portofino
Optional excursion to the elegant resort town of Santa Margherita. Visit the exclusive Portofino by boat (weather permitting), a former fishing village now known for its designer boutiques and chic cafés. Take in stunning views across the bay while enjoying a drink at one of the waterfront cafés.
Day 5: Menton & Dolceacqua
Travel to Menton, a beautiful coastal town in France known for its pastel-colored houses and the 17th-century Basilica of Saint-Michel. Then, cross the border into Italy and stop in Dolceacqua, a medieval village split by a picturesque stone bridge.
Day 6: Genoa
Optional excursion to the medieval city of Genoa. Explore the old port, home to museums and attractions, and visit the birthplace of explorer Christopher Columbus.
Day 7: Nice & St Paul de Vence
Take an optional tour of Nice, the chic capital of the French Riviera. Visit the impressive Place Massena and the St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral. Then head inland to the charming medieval village of St Paul de Vence, known for its cobbled streets, shady squares, and beautiful views of the Bay of Nice.
Day 8: Genoa to UK
After a final morning in the Riviera, transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
