Itinerary
Day 1: UK – Venice
Fly to Venice and transfer to your hotel in Preganziol. After settling in, enjoy a buffet-style welcome dinner featuring food typical of the Veneto region.
Day 2: Venice
Explore the iconic city of Venice, with highlights including St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge. In the evening, we’ll transfer to the charming town of Treviso.
Day 3: Bologna – Montecatini
We’ll head south to Tuscany, making a stop in Bologna for a sightseeing tour before continuing our journey to Montecatini Terme.
Day 4: Pisa
From Montecatini, visit the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Afterward, you can relax or join an optional excursion to Lucca.
Day 5: Florence
Discover the ‘art city’ of Florence on a guided tour. This afternoon, you can join an optional excursion to the Uffizi Gallery with ‘skip-the-line’ admission. In the evening, there is the opportunity to attend the Montecatini Opera Festival.
Day 6: Orvieto – Rome
Travel south through Lazio to Rome, making a stop in the impressive fortress town of Orvieto. Continue to Rome and settle into your hotel.
Day 7: Rome
Embark on a guided tour of Rome, visiting highlights like the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. The afternoon is yours to explore Rome at your leisure.
Day 8: Rome – at Leisure
Today, you have the chance to pre-book an exclusive skip-the-line, two-hour guided visit to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel.
Day 9: Pompeii – Sorrento Peninsula
Start the day with a visit to Montecassino Abbey, followed by a guided tour of the ruins of Pompeii. Later, we’ll travel to the scenic Sorrento Peninsula for an overnight stay in a centrally located hotel.
Day 10: Sorrento Peninsula – at Leisure
Relax at your hotel or join an optional excursion to the glamorous Capri island, just a short boat journey across the Bay of Naples.
Day 11: Sorrento Peninsula – at Leisure
Another free day to relax at your hotel, or take the opportunity to join an optional excursion to the stunning Amalfi Coast.
Day 12: Pizzo Calabro – Sicily
Leave mainland Italy behind and head for Sicily. Stop for lunch at a seaside resort in Calabria, then take a ferry to Messina and continue to Taormina.
Day 13: Taormina
Enjoy the stunning views of Mount Etna and the coast as you tour Taormina. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, making your own discoveries.
Day 14: Giardini Naxos – at Leisure
Take an optional excursion to explore Mount Etna, or join a 16-seater Jeep adventure with an Alpine Guide to get closer to Europe’s highest volcano. In the evening, gather with the group for a farewell drink at the hotel.
Day 15: Catania – UK
Transfer to Catania airport for your return flight to the UK after a memorable Italian adventure
