Itinerary
Day 1: UK – Barcelona
- Fly from the UK to Barcelona.
- Transfer to the coastal resort of Roses, located on Spain’s Costa Brava.
- Relax on Blue Flag beaches before enjoying a welcome dinner. (D)
Day 2: Trenet de Cadaques
- Morning at leisure—relax at the beach, hotel pool, or spa.
- Afternoon excursion on the Trenet de Cadaques, a scenic road train journey through Roses to Cap de Creus National Park, where the Pyrenees meet the sea. (B, D)
Day 3: The Yellow Train – French Pyrenees
- Travel into France, starting in the medieval walled city of Thuir.
- Visit the Byrrh caves, home to the famous Byrrh aperitif.
- Continue to Villefranche de Conflent and board the iconic Yellow Train, built in 1903.
- Enjoy breathtaking views of the Tet Valley before arriving in Mont Louis. (B, D)
Day 4: Nuria Valley Rack Railway
- Journey into the Nuria Valley on an electric cog train, the only access to this remote region.
- Spot wildlife, admire the vast mountain scenery, and learn about the region’s history.

Day 5: Besalú
- Visit the medieval town of Besalú, famous for its Romanesque bridge over the River Fluviá.
- Explore the town on the Aerotren of Besalú for a unique perspective of this historic area. (B, D)
Day 6: Figueres & Perelada Castle Wine Tasting
- Explore Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí.
- Visit the Dalí Theatre and Museum, home to many of his surrealist masterpieces and his final resting place.
- End the day at Perelada Castle with a wine tasting of four different varieties, including cava, and a tour of its historic cellars and museum. (B, D)
Day 7: Roses – At Leisure
- Enjoy a relaxing day at your own pace. Options include:
- Unwinding at the beach or using the hotel’s facilities.
- An optional visit to Girona, known for its medieval streets, Jewish quarter, and cathedral (as seen in Game of Thrones). (B, D)
Day 8: Barcelona – UK
- Transfer to Barcelona Airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)
