Melia Cala Galdana

This recently renovated resort is a great all-rounder, suitable for all ages and in a wonderful spot in Cala Galdana bay. Tall trees offer plenty of shade by the pools and there’s a lift that takes you down to the beach where sun loungers and parasols are available to hire. The sheltered bay, fine white sands and warm, shallow waters are perfect for children as well as snorkellers. The resort has an activities programme as well as regular live music and events in the evening. Unwind during a yoga session or join a spinning or zumba class if you want to keep active.

A breakfast buffet with freshly-made omelettes and pancakes is served on the sea-view terrace of Mosaico which also has extensive dinner buffets. The Italian à la carte restaurant, Casa Nostra, serves fresh spaghetti, pizzas and other typical Italian dishes, and is particularly popular with kids. The new Beach Club & Restaurant Cape Nao is in a superb location by the adults-only pool and beach – enjoy lunch or dinner followed by cocktails and live music and be sure to try Menorca’s famous local dish, lobster stew. Watch the sun set over the ocean with a cool drink in hand on the terrace of the chic Lobby Bar.

The cosy rooms each have a small balcony or terrace. Melia Rooms have side sea views and there’s the option to upgrade to a Melia Cala Galdana View Room for stunning full sea views, or a Premium Cala Galdana View Room to look out over the beautiful bay.
