- Welcome to the “Big Apple!” Your Tour Director is on hand late this afternoon to answer any questions.
Day 2: NEW YORK CITY
- Explore the exciting city with a guided sightseeing tour, including major attractions like Broadway, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and the 9/11 Memorial. This evening, enjoy fine dining or take in a Broadway show.
Day 3: NEW YORK CITY to NIAGARA FALLS
- Depart Manhattan, heading through New Jersey and the Poconos into upstate New York. Late in the afternoon, cross the border to the Canadian side of the Niagara River in Ontario. Spend the next two nights in beautiful Niagara Falls.
Day 4: NIAGARA FALLS
- Start your day with a sightseeing excursion to Niagara Falls, featuring a cruise past the world-famous falls. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the Butterfly Conservatory, Great Gorge Adventure, Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, or ride the aerial cable car.
- Note: The Niagara Falls sightseeing cruise is weather-dependent. An alternative walking tour through scenic tunnels is provided if weather conditions are unfavorable.
Day 5: NIAGARA FALLS to CORNING
- Head southeast through the Appalachian Mountains to Corning, NY, known as the “Crystal City.” Visit the Corning Museum of Glass, home to a comprehensive collection of glass artifacts spanning over 3,500 years. The evening is free to enjoy the charming town.
Day 6: CORNING to PHILADELPHIA
- Travel south through the Pocono Mountains and into the Susquehanna River Valley. Arrive in Philadelphia for an overnight stay.
Day 7: PHILADELPHIA to WASHINGTON DC AREA
- Explore the historic landmarks of Philadelphia on a morning orientation tour. Then, continue to the U.S. capital, Washington DC, for a 2-night stay. Later, join an optional outing for dinner and an illumination tour of the citys famous monuments and memorials.
Day 8: WASHINGTON DC AREA
- Discover the treasures of the nation’s capital on a half-day tour with a Local Guide. Visit the Lincoln and National WWII Memorials, the Washington Monument, Ford’s Theatre, and enjoy photo stops at Capitol Hill, the White House, and other iconic sites. The afternoon is free for exploration, with optional visits to Smithsonian museums, Arlington National Cemetery, and more.
Day 9: WASHINGTON DC AREA
- Your vacation ends this morning. Extend your stay in Washington DC or return to New York City at no additional cost for those passengers interested in going back to the Fairfield Inn & Suites Manhattan/Central Park.
