Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Belize via the US
Fly from London to Belize City with an overnight in the US. (N)
Days 2-4: Belize City • Cayo district
Drive to the Cayo district, known for its dense jungle, parks and ecological reserves, for 3 nights at Francis Ford Coppola’s Blancaneaux Lodge. Take optional tours to visit the rainforest and spot native wildlife or to the Mayan ruins of Caracol, the largest archaeological site in Belize. (B)
Days 5-7: Placencia / Caye Caulker
Drive to the beach resort of Placencia in southern Belize for a relaxing 3-night stay in Francis Ford Coppola’s Turtle Inn. Optional excursions include snorkelling and the Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary. Alternatively, fly to Caye Caulker, home to dense mangrove forest and a variety of birdlife or to the Toledo District in southern Belize, where you will find some of the most pristine rainforests. Day 8: Fly to Ambergris Caye via Belize City
Fly to Belize City and on to Ambergris Caye, Belize’s largest island and a tropical paradise for 3 nights in beautiful Victoria House, overlooking the beach. (B)
Days 9-10: Ambergris Caye
At leisure. Relax on the beach or snorkel on the world’s second largest barrier reef. (B)
Days 11-12: Fly home via Belize City & the US
Fly to Belize City and continue home, via the US. (B)
