Itinerary

Day 1: UK to San José

• Fly to San José, the capital of Costa Rica.

Day 2: Puerto Viejo de Limon

• Travel to Puerto Viejo de Limon, a beach resort on the Caribbean coast.
• Visit Cahuita National Park, home to sea turtles, coral reefs, exotic birds, and mammals like monkeys and pacas.

Day 3: Puerto Viejo de Limon – Bribri Indigenous Experience

• Travel to the Bribri Indigenous Territory in Talamanca.
• Enjoy a dugout canoe ride along the Yorkín River to the village of Yorkín.
• Walk through cacao and banana plantations.
• Swim at the Tskui River and hanging bridge.

• Experience Bribri traditions:
  • Taste Bribri-style lunch.
  • Learn about chocolate-making.
  • Try a traditional bow and arrow.
  • Weave roof leaves for Bribri houses.
• Return to Bambú by canoe and head back to the hotel.

Day 4: Tortuguero National Park

• Early departure for Tortuguero National Park, with breakfast en route.
• Boat journey to the hotel in Tortuguero.
• Visit Tortuguero Village & Caribbean Conservation Center to learn about sea turtles.

Day 5: Tortuguero National Park – Guided Boat Tours

• Explore Tortuguero National Park on two guided boat tours.
• Spot wildlife including sea turtles, monkeys, river otters, crocodiles, and exotic birds.
• Walk some of the park’s jungle trails.

Day 6: Muelle de San Carlos – Coffee Tour

• Travel by boat and drive to Muelle de San Carlos.
• Stop for lunch en route.
• Visit “Mi Cafecito Coffee Tour” to learn about Costa Rica’s coffee production and enjoy a tasting.
• Free time to relax at the hotel in the evening.

Day 7: Muelle de San Carlos – Choose Your Adventure

Option 1: Zip-Line Adventure in La Fortuna

• Fly through the rainforest canopy with breathtaking views of the Arenal River Canyon.
• Spot monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, and sloths.

Option 2: Hanging Bridges of Arenal

• Walk across 15 bridges, including the 98m-long Tyra Bridge and the 60m-high Waterfall Bridge.
• Observe 250+ bird species, reptiles, and mammals in the rainforest reserve.

Day 8: Muelle de San Carlos to UK

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Transfer to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
