Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival in Ljubljana

• Fly to Ljubljana or Zagreb (Croatia).
• Meet and greet upon arrival.
• Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Ljubljana

• Morning guided tour of Slovenia’s capital:
  • Old Town with its medieval squares and landmarks.
  • Ljubljana Castle, perched on Castle Hill.
  • Triple Bridge, a masterpiece of Jože Plečnik.
  • Prešeren Square, home to the salmon-colored Franciscan Church.

Day 3: Ptuj & Maribor

• Visit Ptuj, Slovenia’s oldest town:

• Travel to Maribor, Slovenia’s second-largest city:

  • See the Old Vine, the world’s oldest fruitful vine.
  • Visit the Renaissance-style Town Hall and Plague Column.
  • Wine tasting in the underground tunnels of Vinag wine cellar, one of Europe’s largest classic cellars.

Day 4: Piran & Lipica

• Travel to the Adriatic Coast to visit Piran:
  • Stroll through its Venetian-Gothic architecture.
  • Visit Tartini Square and the Church of St. George.
  • Optional visit to the city walls for panoramic views.
• Free time for a seafood lunch along the promenade.
• Continue to Lipica, home of the Lipizzaner horses:
  • Attend a horse-riding presentation by the Classical Riding School.
  • Guided tour of the historic Lipica Stud Farm.

Day 5: Lake Bled

• Travel through the scenic Soča Valley towards Lake Bled.
• Boat ride on Lake Bled in a traditional canopied rowing boat.
• Visit Bled Island:
  • Climb the 99 steps to the Church of the Assumption.
  • Ring the wishing bell for good fortune.
• Free time in Bled town:
  • Stroll along the lake promenade.
  • Try the local specialty, Kremsnita (Bled Cream Cake).

Day 6: Return Home
