Itinerary Details DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN OPORTO Fly into Lisbon or Oporto, where we’ll transfer you to your five-star cruise ship in Oporto. The welcoming crew ensures a seamless check-in, and soon you’ll be settling into your luxurious accommodation aboard this floating boutique hotel. DAY 2: LAMEGO As dawn breaks, the ship departs from Oporto, offering a serene journey upstream along the captivating Douro. Enjoy breakfast and explore the lush hillsides of port wine territory as we approach the small town of Peso da Rgua. In the afternoon, a short drive takes us to historic Lamego, home of Portugal’s sparkling wine, Raposeira, and a 12th-century Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies. Indulge in a port tasting at one of the region’s best quintas, setting the tone for a Welcome Dinner. DAY 3: CASTELO RODRIGO Experience the peaceful Douro as we cruise into rural territory toward the Spanish border. Enjoy the Sun Deck pool or relax with a glass of local vinho verde. In the afternoon, explore Castelo Rodrigo, a 12th-century walled village with breathtaking views. After dinner, savor the evening air on the Sun Deck. DAY 4: SALAMANCA Visit historic Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dominated by cathedrals and the oldest university in Spain. The Spanish Inquisition’s records are preserved here, offering a glimpse into centuries of history. Enjoy a flamenco show over lunch and explore Salamanca’s streets, squares, and the Plaza Mayor.
