Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Hanoi

Days 2-3: Hanoi
Arrive and transfer to the Hotel de lOpera,
part of the MGallery group, for 2 nights. The
following day take a guided tour of Hanoi. (B)
Days 4-5: Halong Bay
Drive to Halong Bay. Board the luxurious Au
Co cruise ship (or similar) for a 2-night cruise.
Spend your time relaxing on deck, swimming
in the bay, or visit caves, beaches and fishing
villages on guided excursions. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Fly to Hue
Fly to Hue, the 19th-century Nguyen capital,
and visit the royal tombs of emperors Tu
Duc and Khai Dinh. Enjoy dinner tonight at a
restored royal home of the Nguyen dynasty.
Stay 2 nights at La Rsidence Hue. (B, D)
Day 7: Hue
Morning at leisure. Afternoon cyclo ride to the
Imperial Citadel and Thien Mu pagoda, then
take a short cruise back along the Perfume
river to La Rsidence Hue. (B)
Day 8: Danang Hoi An
Drive over the Hai Van Pass to Hoi An, stopping
en route at the Museum of Cham Sculpture in
Danang. Stay 2 nights at the Hotel Royal Hoi
An MGallery, a short walk from the Hoi An
Ancient Town district. (B, L)
Day 9: Hoi An
Morning orientation tour of Hoi An Ancient
Town district, including the 400-year-old
Japanese covered bridge. Spend the rest of
the day at leisure wandering the lanes and discovering small shops, museums, cafes,
restored wooden houses and restaurants. (B)
Day 10: Fly to Can Tho in the Mekong delta
Drive to Danang and fly to Can Tho in the
Mekong delta. Stay at The Azerai for 1 night. (B)
Day 11: Mekong delta Ho Chi Minh City
Morning visit to the busy floating market at Cai
Rang by boat. Afterwards, drive to Ho Chi Minh
City through the Mekong delta with excursions
en route including a short boat trip. Stay 2
nights at the Park Hyatt Saigon. (B, L)
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City
Morning at leisure. Afternoon tour of the
Reunification Palace, Notre Dame cathedral
and the War Remnants Museum. (B)
Day 13: Fly to Siem Reap
Fly to Siem Reap and stay at Belmond La
Rsidence dAngkor for 3 nights. (N)
Days 14-15: Angkor temples
Full-day discovery of Angkors temples with an
expert guide who will suggest ways of avoiding
the crowds or seeing the places that interest
you the most. A sample tour could include
visiting the Ta Prohm, Angkor Wat or Angkor
Thom temples before the crowds arrive, and
dinner at a private house in the countryside.
The following day is at leisure. (B)
Day 16: Fly home
Transfer to the airport and fly home. (B)
