Welcome to Los Angeles! Your Tour Director is on hand late this afternoon to answer any questions.
Day 2
LOS ANGELES
Embark on a sightseeing tour of Tinseltown, driving through Hollywood to see the historic TCL Chinese Theatre and the Dolby Theater (formerly Kodak Theater), the first permanent home of the Academy Awards. Explore the Hollywood Walk of Fame, adorned with iconic terrazzo stars on Hollywood Boulevard. Visit The Original Farmers Market with over 140 shops and restaurants. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure with suggestions from your Tour Director.
Day 3
LOS ANGELES to PALM SPRINGS
Journey to the desert oasis of Palm Springs, a haven for Hollywood stars since the 1930s. Explore the city’s ranch-style estates and elite hotels, surrounded by clean, dry air and sunshine.
Day 4
PALM SPRINGS to SCOTTSDALE
Travel through the cacti-covered desert to Old Town Scottsdale, capturing the aura of the past with Western storefronts. Enjoy free time to experience the Old West’s essence through restaurants, shopping, and Western bars.
Day 5
SCOTTSDALE to SEDONA to GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK to WILLIAMS
Visit Sedona, known for Southwestern and New Age arts, and traverse Oak Creek Canyon with its dramatic, color-tinted crags. Pass through the San Francisco Mountains to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. Opt for a helicopter flightseeing excursion for breathtaking views. Stay overnight in Williams, a picturesque mountain town on Route 66.
Day 6
WILLIAMS to LAS VEGAS
Cross the old Mohave gold-strike country, witnessing century-old ghost towns in the natural desert beauty. Reach Las Vegas, the neon-lit oasis in the Nevada desert, famous for gambling, neon lights, and glamorous shows. LAS VEGAS
Enjoy a day of exploration in Las Vegas. Your Tour Director will provide activity suggestions, and you can explore the city’s vibrant offerings, from casinos to shows.
Day 8
LAS VEGAS to SELMA
Depart Las Vegas, crossing the Nevada desert and entering California. Pass through the vast Mojave Desert, covering one-fifth of California. Overnight in Selma, located in the central San Joaquin Valley.
Day 9
SELMA to YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK to SONORA
Enter Yosemite National Park, a wonderland of lakes, granite domes, pinnacles, waterfalls, and forests. Drive to Sonora.
Day 10
SONORA to SAN FRANCISCO
Continue west to San Francisco, the “Golden Gate City,” famous for its cable cars. After lunch, enjoy included sightseeing featuring the Golden Gate Bridge, Nob Hill, and Fisherman’s Wharf.
Day 11
SAN FRANCISCO
Explore San Francisco at your leisure. Consider visiting Alcatraz Prison or choose from various optional excursions.
Day 12
SAN FRANCISCO
