Itinerary Day 1 & 2: UK to Kota Kinabalu Fly to Kota Kinabalu via Kuala Lumpur, arriving on day 2. Enjoy a Malaysian welcome dinner with traditional Sabah dancing. Day 3: Kota Kinabalu Embark on a nostalgic journey on the North Borneo Railway to Papar, enjoying views of villages and countryside. Optional sunset cruise for a different perspective of Kota Kinabalu. Day 4: North Borneo Explore the north of the island, visiting the indigenous Rungus tribe in Bavanggazo and experiencing local crafts. Evening at the night market. Day 5: Kinabalu National Park Explore Kinabalu National Park with a guided nature trek, glimpse Mount Kinabalu, and visit Poring Hot Springs. Thrilling canopy walk in the Menggaris tree. Day 6: Sandakan Travel to Sandakan, stopping at Sandakan Memorial Park to honor prisoners of war. Lunch in a restaurant with scenic views of the Kundasang highlands. Day 7: Abai Visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Cruise to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary, enjoying wildlife and fireflies. Day 8: Abai Cruise to Pitas lake for wildlife observation, join a tree-planting project in Abai village, and explore the rainforest boardwalk. Evening cruise through the jungle. Day 9: Sukau Free morning for exploration, followed by a river cruise to Sukau, searching for orangutans, pygmy elephants, and exotic birds. Wildlife viewing in the evening. Day 10: Sandakan Boat journey back to Sandakan. Leisure time in the afternoon and a farewell dinner in the evening.
