Enjoy the beaches and Mountains of Club Med’s Palmiye
Trip advisor recently rated Turkey the third best holiday destination in the world and when you look at resorts like the incredible Palmiye it’s easy to see why. The Club Med brand is synonymous with luxury and all inclusive holidays and Palmiye is no exception. This enormous Club Med complex consists of 724 rooms, many of them with a view over the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. The views from the other rooms are no less spectacular with their own view of the beautiful Taurus mountains. When you’re feeling hungry or thirsty there’s no less than four different restaurants to cater for your needs. Each of them specialises in delicious cuisine and where possible, the food on site is cooked with local produce. There are five different bars to enjoy, although rest assured that it is possible to buy you know you’re on holiday cocktails at all of them!
During the day you won’t be stuck for activities and you won’t be kept waiting for a tennis court. There are 12 to choose from, when you fancy a break from the pool. If you fancy brushing up on your skills a little, it’s possible to book tuition with the on-site instructors. You can get group practise or one to one advice. Why not practise your trick shots to impress your friends back home!
As for excursions, many guests choose to head for the famous cities such as Istanbul or Myra. However there are many local attractions that you can enjoy both with children and without as well. It’s probably best to begin with the beaches, which are sandy, hot and full of watersport opportunities. Club Med, being Club Med, will provide you with all the equipment and tuition you need to try your hand at something new, whether its sailing, windsurfing, or diving. It’s probably worth mentioning that even though there’s plenty to do on the beach, there’s no need to feel pressured into strapping yourself onto something with a mast and hitting the waves. If you fancy lying down for a few hours or even days to soak up the hot sun, then you do that!
You might seek more entertainment at some point and when you do, why not head over to marvel at the historically important Hadrian’s Gate, take in the shimmering natural beauty of the Kursunku waterfalls or explore the streets of Kaleici, in the old town.
