Day 1: Fly to Cairo
Fly to Cairo and transfer to your hotel in the city center.

Dinner

Day 2: Pyramids of Giza
Visit Egypt’s most iconic sites: the Pyramids of Giza and the unblinking Sphinx, along with the Egyptian Museum, home to pharaonic treasures. Later, explore the Khan el Khalili Bazaar, famous for its jewelry and crafts.

Day 3: Old Cairo
Explore Cairo’s Coptic Quarter, with its impressive churches and the Christian artifact collection at the Coptic Museum. Later, visit Sakkara, an ancient necropolis with painted catacombs and the Step Pyramid of Djoser. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the revolving restaurant atop Cairo Tower, offering the best views of the city.

Day 4: Explore Alexandria
Travel to Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast. Discover its highlights, including the Roman Theatre and the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, dating back to the 2nd century. Stop for a photo at the Qaitbay Citadel, a 15th-century fortress.

Day 5: El Alamein & Monastery of St. Macarius
Visit El Alamein, the site of two key WWII battles. Explore the military museum and war cemeteries before traveling southeast back to Cairo. En route, visit the Monastery of St. Macarius, active since the 4th century AD.

Day 6: Cruise the Nile River
Fly from Cairo to Luxor and board your 5-star Nile cruise ship for a four-night journey. In the afternoon, visit Karnak Temple, famous for its Hypostyle Hall with 134 massive stone columns, the Avenue of the Sphinxes, and the Sacred Lake.

Day 7: Explore the West Bank
Visit the West Bank of Luxor, home to the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Explore the Valley of the Kings, resting place of New Kingdom pharaohs, including Tutankhamun’s tomb. Tonight, sail for Esna.

Day 8: Kom Ombo
Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. Return to the ship for lunch and cruise to Kom Ombo, where you’ll visit the unique double temple of Horus and Sobek. Sail on to Aswan for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Discover Aswan
Explore Aswan, including the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Temple of Philae on Agilkia Island. In the afternoon, take a traditional felucca sailboat to Elephantine Island and Kitchener’s Island to visit the botanical gardens.

Day 10: Abu Simbel
Disembark and travel southwest to the magnificent twin temples of Abu Simbel, dedicated to Ramesses II. Explore its grand halls and colossal statues before returning to Aswan for your flight back to Cairo.

Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
