I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it so wrote William Shakespeare in As You Like It. Explore Shakespeares Stratford, including visits to his Birthplace and School, and hear how young William grew to become arguably the worlds greatest writer. There is so much more than just the Bard to discover on this 6-day tour, however: explore the picturesque Cotswolds and the tranquil Hidcote Manor Garden, visit world-famous Warwick Castle and immerse yourself in the medieval streets of scholarly Oxford.

Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive in Stratford-Upon-Avon

Check into your hotel with the rest of the day free to relax. Car parking fees are included. At 6 pm, meet your Tour Director and travelling companions for a welcome dinner at your hotel.

DAY 2 Stratford-Upon-Avon

Discover the beautiful hometown and final resting place of Stratfords most famous son, William Shakespeare. Join your Tour Director for a walking tour, including entrance to SHAKESPEARES SCHOOLROOM, where William was educated and inspired to become one of the worlds greatest playwrights, and entrance to SHAKESPEARES BIRTHPLACE.

DAY 3 Stratford-Upon-Avon. Cotswolds excursion

Discover why the Cotswold Hills are so renowned as you visit the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and Wales. See some of its quintessentially English market towns and villages built from honey-coloured stone, including stops in the picture-book villages of Stow-on-the-Wold and Broadway. Then visit HIDCOTE MANOR GARDEN, lovingly tended by the National Trust and split into a series of outdoor rooms, each with its own different character.

DAY 4 Stratford-Upon-Avon

A full day to relax or to join an optional excursion offered by your Tour Director.

DAY 5 Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwick Castle & Oxford excursion

A spectacular start to the day with a visit to magnificent WARWICK CASTLE. Marvel at the opulent Great Hall and State Rooms, and see the former private apartments. Today’s other highlight is a walking tour through Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires, to see the colleges where Britains elite receives its outstanding education.
