Summer has well and truly arrived in the Northern Hemisphere in July. School holidays are on the horizon and everyone is ready to hit the sun beds and enjoy some much needed Vitamin D. Options are wide and vary on your needs, but we believe July is a month in which you should be lounging on a beach in paradise.
Therefore our picks for July are focused on your relaxation and where better than the Seychelles to find yourself during the summer months, a collection of islands in the idyllic Indian Ocean and temperatures on average of up to 26 to 27 degrees for July. For a more cultural journey we recommend you head to the beautiful country of Indonesia during the month of July home to many beautiful beaches, rice paddies and volcanoes plus a rich history for you to explore for yourself.
The Seychelles
The Seychelles are a collections of more than 100 islands scattered across the stunning crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean with glorious weather continuing throughout July. ( an average temperature of 27C a day) Home to some of the best beaches on the planet you can pretty much guarantee a relaxation holiday on these islands. You can certainly find adventure here too as you seek out some of the wildlife that call these islands home.
Wildlife in The Seychelles
There is a lot more to these stunning islands than just beautiful beaches and palm trees. With two World Heritage Sites in Aldabra Atolland Vallee de Mai. The surrounding ocean is full of extensive coral reefs and teeming with marine life of all different variations. On the island you can also find numerous nature reserves home to fascinating wildlife.
Dip into the warm Indian Ocean and discover colourful coral reefs home to unique wildlife from huge moray eels, scorpian fish, eagle rays, sea turtles, schools with thousands of fusilers, jacks and barracudas. Further into the turquoise waters you can visit the many scuba diving where you can expect to see Manta Rays, Whale Sharks and some historic ship wrecks in which many weird and wonderful creatures call their home.
On shore is also a tropical paradise for many interesting creatures, from giant tortoises living to over a hundred years old or huge yet very cute flying foxes swooping above your head. Nature reserves help preserve the wildlife from human contact and are key in it flourishing on the island. The Seychelles is famous for its variation of birds keep an eye or ear out for the prestigious and local on the island the Seychelles Black Parrot in which you should be able to hear screaming from the tree tops.
Beaches
Now one thing The Seychelles has been blessed with is an abundance of beautiful beaches. Each island has it’s own unique character and also some of the best beaches in the world!
La Digue is home to two world class beaches in Anse Source d’Argent one of the most photographed beaches on the planet (pictured above) and is only accessible through an old coconut plantation which is worth a visit in itself. You can also find Anse Marron on the island of La Digue another one of the worlds best beaches, overhanging palm trees and a nice flow of waves give this beach it’s own unique feel.
The island of Praslinhas another abudance of beautiful coastlines and some great spots to appreciate the nature around you. You can visit the Vallee de Mai Nature reserve a protected part of the island in which is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site full of well preserved palm trees and wildlife local to the island.

Indonesia
Indonesia is a country in which captures visitors hearts with every visit. July is the perfect time to visit Indonesia as the weather conditions are predominantly dry with temperatures averaging at around 27 degrees each day.
Bali
Probably the biggest attraction when it comes to Indonesia is the magical island of Bali. Home to long stretches of beach, stunning coastline, a rich history, tonnes of culture and much much more.
Starting at the artistic heart of Bali in Ubud, a spiritual place where the streets are lined with temples and galleries in which artists from all over create their own unique art to showcase to the world. Catch a beautiful dancing performance highlighting the islands rich culture and history. Explore the rice fields which have become an instagrammers heaven as you gaze over a landscape which is like something from a different planet.
Heading to the coastlines you can find a number of stunning beaches which have some very famous sunsets and beach clubs alike. Seminyak is a hub for restaurants, bars and some amazing hotels making it a great place to base yourself as you explore the rest of the island.
Canggu is also a great spot in which surfers and digital nomads have made their home giving it the perfect blend of western culture mixed with Balinese locals. Here you can find amazing restaurants popping up on every corner in which you can enjoy a drink whilst you watch some world class surfing.
Heading to the south of the island you will find yourself in another surfer town called Uluwatu. Set upon the cliff tops it is home to some amazing beaches with golden sand and one of Bali’s most iconic temples overlooking its beautiful coastline.
Lombok
Another popular collection of islands located just south of Bali are the Lombok islands. Each island in Lombok has different characteristics although they all have one thing in common which is beautiful beaches.
The Gili islands are seen to many people as paradise with golden sand combined with crystal clear waters. Onto the most popular islands out of the threeGili Trawangan.
